Small Worlds: Miniature Acrylic Abstract(ish) Paintings
Created for the 30x30 Exhibition, Blue Line Arts, Roseville, CA, in late 2014.
Each painting demonstrates the potential for complexity within small canvases. The acrylic ink used gives homage to the unprimedwooden panels. My favorite elements to use in these small paintings are swirly voids, stripes, and webs. The color palette for these thirty paintings was limited to six acrylic ink colors. I did make thirty paintings for the exhibition, but I believe these sixteen paintings are the most intriguing.
